Jarvi’s work is all about water. This wall-mounted round was inspired by water in nature. During the artist’s 2018 residency at The Hambidge Center, she was surrounded by natural water — whether ponds, waterfalls, rain, etc. These greens immediately began to infiltrate her water work. The artist uses multiple firings, and the kiln heat (and gravity) moving the glass until she is happy.
