#ArtPopCLT Continues to Blow my Mind! (6.13.18)

ArtPop is an amazing program! You probably know I was one of their first artists in 2014. (This was also the first time seeing my glass large scale in a public art pop up opportunity:)

I loved ArtPop so much, I volunteered for their board for a year, and usually donate a piece of my glass to their annual fundraiser. (Yes, I'm doing it again. More about this another time.)

But, the difference between 2014 and 2018 is blowing my mind. Too many things to list here.

Of course, the highlights include MULTIPLE venues for display of ArtPop artwork - always with artist's name. What's super great is the care with which each is designed for different venues. Below is my June 2018 CLT Airport design. (Throughout June, look for my glass there:)

With 20 Charlotte artists and ArtPop Street Gallery in so many cities, it would be easy for them to quickly format our art for different venues. That is the opposite of what the team of volunteers actually do!! For this digital venue, they carefully curated each pair for a dynamic overall design!

IF you're an artist reading this, I urge you to apply for ArtPop next time. IF you're an art lover reading this, thank you for considering how you might be able to support the ArtPop program.

As for me, I share with as many folks as possible the awesomeness of ArtPop while enjoying my time in the spotlight! (We support this fantastic program with cash and art donations too:)
