- Carmella Jarvi is an artist in Charlotte, NC, known for her paintings of women in water. Jarvi's passion for business is helping her as curator of the Gallery at Packard Place. She also teaches painting and marketing privately and through arts councils & art groups.
- Jarvi writes about the Charlotte art scene for the Knight Arts blog, which is sponsored by the John S. & James L. Knight Foundation. Their Knight Arts program promotes the "transformational power of the arts."
- The artist has won many grants over the years. In 2011, she was awarded an Arts & Science Council grant to curate the Gallery at Packard Place, which is an exciting partnership with a new business in Charlotte.
