About the Artist

  • Carmella Jarvi is an artist in Charlotte, NC, known for her paintings of women in water. Jarvi's passion for business is helping her as curator of the Gallery at Packard Place. She also teaches painting and marketing privately and through arts councils & art groups.
  • Jarvi writes about the Charlotte art scene for the Knight Arts blog, which is sponsored by the John S. & James L. Knight Foundation. Their Knight Arts program promotes the "transformational power of the arts."
  • The artist has won many grants over the years. In 2011, she was awarded an Arts & Science Council grant to curate the Gallery at Packard Place, which is an exciting partnership with a new business in Charlotte.

"The Gallery at Packard Place project is supported, in part, with funding from the Arts & Science Council."
  • Buy art directly from this site OR at MoNA Gallery in Charlotte, NC — it's a great new gallery between Plaza-Midwood and Elizabeth. (Jarvi is happy to meet you there to share her work.)
  • Jarvi's business is a division of Brushmark Studios, LLC, which she owns with her husband, Chris Craft. The focus of all their work is to transform the lives of others through art.
